Growing like plants

From week 3 to week 4 and 3 days the spinach and radish have grown so much. The spinach have healthy green leaves. While the radish have healthy green leaves as well but the radish is showing a redish/burgundy color of a look. It's amazing and a wonderfull experience to watch these plants grow. I have grown to love gardens, nature, and such for what it has to offer me/us. Always take a moment for what you have and realize you live in a great place. Without growth of things there wouldnt be food or nature to enjoy. I have been growing to love college and wanting to excell in all of my classes. Just like a plant, if it has no water for a while it starts to droop and look sad. If I recieve a poor grade I become sad and think I am not good enough for college. But when I work hard and study and recieve a good grade I am happy and perky. Just like a plant would be when watered and in good soil. It's amazing how you can relate to a plant that grows in the ground. Keep working hard for your dreams and always remember that you can reach your goals! (:

1 month & 3 days

Spinach growing strong!

Radish showing!

On April 16th 2012, my partner and I planted Radishes and Spinach. Today they are one month and three days old. They are growing up so fast and turning into beautiful plants. They have seen the sunshine everyday this week and have really drank their water well. It has been a great and wonderful experience to watch something my partner and I have planted grow so beautifully. I enjoy walking by our plants every morning on my way to class on my tiptoes to just see what they look like from afar. As they are growing I feel myself growing as well. I feel blessed to be walking the halls of school again. I have grown into myself and am still learning who I am and what it is I am going to accomplish. Every day I feel as though I have achieved one more assignment and am ready to  take on the next. In a way I feel as though I am growing up in college already. It is a wonderful feeling to know I have so many people that love and care about me. They are my food to success.
Week 7 and  Radishes and Spinach my partner and I planted are growing beautifully. They have absorbed their water graciously, and have taken in the sunlight positivly. Everyday I see a change in them. It is amazing to see how fast they have grown in such a short period of time. I can see the radishes starting to change and oh how I wait oh so patiently for a "bulb" or something of its life to come out. The Spinach gets greener and greener and it is really starting to make a positive and pretty appearance where it grows. I look forward to the next four weeks of watching out pretty plants grow and become their own.

Week six of college for English 99 has been going good. Class is going good and my other classes are good also. Work and school is about what I do besides hanging with the famiy and my man. The spinach and radishes are growing everyday. With some sunshine and water, the plants will keep on growing until they can't grow anymore. Not sure how many centimeters or anything the plants have grown since we put them in the ground but all I know is we are growing vegtables! It's amazing how you can plant a little seed in the ground, water it, and watch it grow into something much bigger than a little seed. Then you can eat the grown product that you planted a few months or so ago. Life is amazing and is growing everyday just like a plant. Different plants have their own unique personality on what they produce, look like, and much more, just like our world, people, society and such. It's an amzing thing that goes on. I persoally don't exactly like eating vegtables but I am coming around to eating a few more here and there. Planting these vegtables at the college or at home make me realize I don't have too buy these items at a store but I can grow them and enjoy them from my own garden.

Jaime Rapoza-Week 5

Week five in college has been a long and busy week. Monday, April 30th I went to school for two hours and then from school went straight to work. I was very tired from already working over the weekend so put homework off for the evening and spent time with my family. Tuesday May 1st I read two Chapters from "Fast Food Nation", and went to Math 90. After Math I came home and immediately started working on my assignments. I had to make a brochure, annotate chapter three from "Fast Food Nation", and write a reflection paper about the reading process my classmates and I learned about the week before.  I also created this blog and turned in my first essay for peer reviews. After completing my assignments my daughter, boyfriend and I went to Bible study. We got home about 9:30p.m. Because it was still early in my mind I decided to clean my house and do laundry. Wednesday was a great day. I completed my Math assignment, and two peer critiques for English. After I finished my homework  I made fried chicken, potato salad, and broccoli with cheese for dinner. This gave me the rest of the afternoon to relax, which I really needed and was ready for. I have enjoyed every week in College thus far. This has been a wonderful journey. Every class I take gives me a little more to remember and look back on. I know when I finish the week I have accomplished one more step to success.

First week!

During this last week, I have watched the Spinach and Radishes grow that my partner and I planted. On April 25th, I saw the radishes start to sprout. The leaves were very green and looked healthy. The Spinach was barely popping out of the soil. I did go back to look once again on Wed. May 2nd. The Radished are really starting to come out now, and you can barely see the leaves on the spinach. I have not had to water our vegetables, due to the rainy weather. I look forward to posting again with an update for you all on our plants.
